How To Create An Automated Sales Funnel

The great thing about being a Lifestyle Marketer is that you build a business that works for you. Rather than spending 40 hours a week building a business for someone else, you spend your time building your own business while having the work/life balance that’s best for you. Creating automated sales funnels should be a big part of your business.

A few weeks ago I created a post showing you how simple it is to set up an e-commerce business. Check it out here: How To Create a Simple eCommerce Business Today

Today, I want to show you how to create a simple automated funnel that will allow you to sell any product with very little input from you on a day to day basis.

That simply means that you can spend as long or as little as you want each day sending traffic to your automated funnel and then testing and tweaking to increase conversions.

The criteria for creating a profitable online business is:

1. It should be easy to set up
2. It should be simple to run on a day to day basis
3. It should be scaleable
4. It should be repeatable

The first two are self explanatory. Scaleable simply means that you should be able to grow it as and when you want to. Repeatable means that you can take your business model and apply it to any other niche you may be interested in getting into.

The business model I am about to show you fulfills all four criteria.

You can set this smart funnel up in a few hours, it takes anywhere from 5 minutes to check your stats every day to 30 minutes to test some changes. The more traffic you drive to it, the more it grows. You can clone it and apply it to any niche.

Furthermore, you can use this sales funnel to sell almost anything. Affiliate products, your own products, physical products and digital products.

You imagination is the only limiting factor.

You Require 3 Things To Get Started.

  • A Great Piece of Content
  • A Content Upgrade
  • An Email Sequence

That is all there is to it, told you it was simple.

I firmly believe that the key to success online is to give each asset you have one single job. .

Each article should be designed to accomplish one task such as get an optin or drive traffic to a pillar post.

Each email sequence should sell a single product. If you have 2 products to sell then have two email sequences.

By keeping things simple we can ensure that we can see what’s working and what isn’t.

I love simple!

In this business model:

The article is designed to get people to opt-in for the content upgrade.

The content upgrade is designed to get people into an automated email system.

The automated system emails are designed to segment the readers which allows us to sell the product over a 7 day period.

Done right this model can be incredibly successful.

I recently ran a live training session where I showed this method in full. Rather than repeat it here, you can view the recording below.

I assure you it’s worth your while watching it, but don’t take my word for it, this is what some of the live attendees said…

Unique, tested actionable ideas, not the same regurgitated stuff you get on other people’s webinars.

This is a very simple interesting approach – thanks. However when I went to pause the video to do a bit of exercise it closed the video and went to this page and now I’m unable to continue where I left off in fact I now can’t get back to the video.

    Hope you can help

4 hours later and I’m still on your blog. It’s 4am and I need to sleep. Thanks a lot for keeping my ass awake with this AWESOME info 🙂 Seriously that webinar was GOLD! I basically feel obligated at this point to at least buy something from you through an affiliate link or something haha. I’m sure I will.

It’s all a blur, but I think I originally got to your site from the Active Campaign vs Convert Kit article that I found organically on Google. I am curious to know if I can set this up with Convertkit because I am trying to keep things as simple as possible. (Active Campaign does seem awesome, but a lot more going on there)

Hello! I too found your site from the Active Campaign vs. Convert Kit blog! This was very helpful. I have tried this kind of thing before and didn’t create the success that I was looking for. I’m hopeful that by using these strategies, I will be much more successful this time! Thanks so much!
